❰Ebook❯ ➡ The Family Journal Author Carolyn Brown – Uroturk.info
I love the concept of this novel Lily moved her children back to her hometown as they were getting into all sorts of trouble She moves into her family home which happens to already have a renter I thought that part was a little hokey, that a renter would just say oh ok, three people are moving in Lily finds a journal that has been kept by her female ancestors for over s century She shares the discovery with her daughter Each of the character grows as the rural simple life envelops them All the personalities are lively and believable Another great read from CB Thanks to NetGalley for the advance copy. I feel sorry for parents in these situations The threat of going to live with the other parent is always there.Victoria sounds like a twat.If it was my mother, she would have slapped me.I so would not like Adam.Whoa, Sally has some serious kid juju.It s not the love of your life if your twin brother can steal her away.I like the Civil War storyline. How old do you think your mother is, Braden Outhouses Holly sure gets polite when she wants something.Attaboy, Braden.Aw, Isaac is a cutie. Is ignorance bliss The Torres parents did good Rose and Ivy s, not so much.Such a twat Wyatt and Adam should form a club.Well, her life would have been better, but without Wyatt, there is no Holly and Braden.Son of a I hope she has her toe bending hands warmed up for round two.I know, honey But calm down before we both have a heart attack Reclaim your balls, ha Okay, I like the principal.Poor Sally, this is a lot of responsibility.I love the music that Ms Brown introduces me to with every book.I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. The Family Journal is a beautiful story about roots and new beginnings As Lily and her teenage daughter, Holly explore the entries in an old journal they each come to realize just how precious life its own self is Readers will experience a whole range of emotions and perhaps shed a few tears Parents everywhere can relate to Lily s struggles as a parent as she stands firm in her tough love posture taking her children from a big city full of temptation back to her small town country roots Readers will cheer as Lily s son and daughter come to recognize the lessons she has given them What resonates with this reader is that Carolyn Brown has so deafly summarized my own feelings about life partners You can be in love or in lust, but most importantly you must actually like the person you choose to spend your life with In this old reader s view, this is a must read I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley Most highly recommend. A beautifully written portrayal of love in all it s magnificent flaws.Whether you re looking at from the point of love or lust one thing is for sure you must have feelings, emotions, and connections are without such there s nothing.A journal brings it all together as the past meets present with the ladies in this powerful story.Surely we have some behavioral issues, we have a journey in terms of raising and parenting, we have a story of a bygone era and of a mother and daughter connecting through a school project.Tough love or fond memories which wins out depends on how you are open to the idea of laying down your roots and never swaying far from home.I love all the messages this book brings and the heart of the matter that s second to none.Thank you to Carolyn, the publisher, NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
